THE Mighty Warriors have advanced to the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup Women’s Championship semi-finals after defeating the Mares of Botswana 1-0 in their final group match this afternoon at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
Zimbabwe finished second in Group B, collecting 7 points with a goal difference of +3.
The crucial goal was scored by Rutendo Makore. Mighty Warriors defender Egnesa Tumbare was named Player of the Match for her outstanding performance.
The Mighty Warriors started their campaign with a convincing 2-0 win over Eswatini. In their second match, they battled to a goalless draw against defending champions Zambia.
