KWEKWE – At least 50 exhibitors are expected to showcase at the 12th edition of the annual
Kwekwe Expo, which will run from September 28 to 30.
Kwekwe Expo chairperson Eric Musesengwe said preparations for the exhibition are now at an
advanced stage, with the annual business conference set to be held at Gulez Conference Centre.
The Expo will be held under the theme: “Building Sustainable Bridges for Economic Development.”
Musesengwe said local industrialist Shepherd Chahwira who recently acquired Haggie Rand
Zimbabwe would be the guest of honour. Last year, the Expo was officially opened by prominent
hotelier and Business Economic Empowerment Federation (BEEF) president Dr. Solomon Matsa.
“A lot of exhibitors, especially the Small to Medium Enterprises have shown interest in exhibiting
during the 2023 Kwekwe Expo edition…,” he said.
Apart from the traditional Miss Kwekwe Expo, there will be the Mr. Junior Kwekwe contest.
“The beauty pageant will run its own theme: “Developing the Individual” and winners will receive
certificates and prizes sponsored by Tecno Mobile.
“Preparations are quite advanced for both the main pageant and the Kwekwe Junior model
contest,” Musesengwe said.
There will also be a primary and high schools quiz competition.
