IN any society, when a child is born the entire community ululates pouring messages like
“Sengamhlophe”, “Happy-happy” and “Congratulations”
.
These same sentiments were shared to one Gloyn Moyo, who was celebrating her 47 th
birthday and decided to make merry with the public.
Filabusi town business came to a halt as Moyo, celebrated her day in an extraordinary way,
which left several people in awe.
The birthday saw the entire town sharing the cake with Moyo after she toured from Bekezela
location-Town-Open Gates and Mswela Business Centre. She organised a road show, which
rounded the entire town.
I have seen people celebrating their birthday indoors with limited family members and
friends. I then opted for a unique way to honour my day just by holding a roadshow and
sharing what I have with the people of Filabusi. I was touched by the people's response,
which made this day a marvel," said an elated Moyo.
The stylistic birthday saw several businesspeople supporting the party as they rendered their
services for free.
I can simply term my birthday as a unique participation after my business partners also
joined the roadshow and took time to market their services as well,” she said.
A Filabusi resident, Nkululeko Phiri, said he was mesmerised by the event where residents
were showered with clothes, car parts, cakes – all courtesy of supporting business partners Mr
Hungwe and Ms Alice.
Today, we were served with a royal table meal, which is first of its kind in this jurisdiction I
only wish Ms Moyo nothing but many more years of prosperous life,” said businessperson,
Hungwe.
The “birthday girl” is affectionately known by her business name Glorynes Signs, where she
specializes in T-shirt printing, calendars and many more.
While the Baccossi Shop retailers, Jaycee, Hungwe, Njengwas, Alice Boutique, Dry Bones
Supermarket, MC UMahlabayithwale, Oven Express, Zailogix, Dj Phidza partnered with
Moyo to ensure the success of the event.
